The UK Parliamentary Privileges Committee released its report Thursday into Boris Johnson’s alleged breaching of parliamentary rules. Johnson is accused of violating Covid-19 lockdown restrictions throughout 2020 and 2021 and lying to Parliament about these violations. The report concludes that contrary to Johnson’s claims, guidance was not entirely adhered to in Downing Street, nor were the rules and guidance consistently obeyed throughout the Covid pandemic lockdowns.

In a 7-2 ruling, the court rejected non-Indigenous adoptive parents’ and the state of Texas’s challenge to the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA), siding with concerns from the Indigenous community. The court issued three findings in its Thursday decision.

The Court dismissed the appeal as “the appellants do not have an interest in bringing proceedings against the decision at issue.” The United Kingdom decided to leave the EU by way of a referendum in 2016, following which, the country signed the Brexit withdrawal agreement in 2020.
