In a press conference, US Attorney General Merrick Garland stated that regional justice departments in the Eastern District of New York and the District of New Jersey arrested two and charged 13 people allegedly acting on behalf of the PRC.

Alexander Kueng Monday pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter for his involvement in the death of George Floyd, the Associated Press reported. At a later date, Kueng will be sentenced to 42 months in prison served concurrently with his existing three-year federal sentence for violating Floyd’s constitutional rights.

The University and College Union (UCU) Monday announced that UCU members voted “overwhelmingly in favor” of a strike. The vote was sparked by pay disputes and pension cuts for British university staff. The UCU held the vote on October 21. Over 70,000 staff from 150 universities participated in the vote. The results showed 81.1% of voters were in favor of taking action over pay and working conditions, while 84.9% were in favor of taking action over pensions cuts.
