Lawyer and human rights defender Nasrin Sotoudeh was arrested in Iran on Sunday after attending the funeral of Armita Geravand, a teenager who died on Saturday after a month in intensive care due to brain injuries allegedly inflicted by Iran’s morality police. Geravand was said to have encountered the morality police when she was found not wearing a hijab at a metro station on October 1.
