UN official condemns Russia missile strike that killed 7 people in Chernihiv

United Nations humanitarian coordinator for Ukraine Denise Brown condemned a Russian missile strike in the city of Chernihiv on Saturday. The Saturday strike on the northern city came as many citizens were leaving church on the Eastern Orthodox holiday of the Transfiguration of the Lord. Pakistan opposition leader arrested by Federal Investigation Agency

Vice Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-eInsaf (PTI) party, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, was detained and arrested Saturday by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Qureshi was arrested on charges of exposing a letter last year claiming that former Prime Minister Imran Khan was ousted from power by the US. India’s Jharkhand High Court on Thursday released its judgment ordering a new investigation into the killing of a man which took place in the district of Latehar in 2021. The court in its judgment held that the initial police investigation was “hasty” and that it must order a new investigation to stress that “the Rule of Law is meant for everybody.” Bramdev Singh, who is a member of a scheduled tribe, was shot and killed along with five others by local police.
