President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that 31,000 Ukrainian soldiers had been killed since Russia’s full-scale invasion two years ago. This was Zelensky’s first release in over a year of public casualty figures since the beginning of Russia’s invasion , which has garnered accusations of violations of international law. Zelensky did not disclose the number of wounded soldiers due to security concerns.

During nearly four hours of arguments, several justices suggested that the laws violate the First Amendment because they infringe on the ability of companies like Facebook and YouTube to make decisions about the content that appears on their platforms.

A close ally of recently deceased Alexei Navalny, Maria Pevchikh, claimed Monday that the Russian dissident was just days away from being freed in a prisoner exchange. Pevchikh said that an agreement had been reached, offering Navalny and two American citizens in exchange for FSB officer Vadim Krasikov, who is currently in prison in Germany for murder.
