The Senate’s amendment added that in a civil action based on violating the bill, “[The] plaintiff may recover from the person: (A) Compensatory damages; (B) Punitive damages; and (C) Reasonable attorney’s fees, court costs, and expenses.”

b) Involuntary—in the commission of an unlawful act, not amounting to a felony; or in the commission of a lawful act which might produce death, in an unlawful manner, or without due caution and circumspection. They could also seek punitive damages in such a case. Compensatory damages cover both economic and non-economic damages.
