Shearman & Sterling is laying off additional employees after an earlier round of cuts in February.

Shearman did not specify how many people are being laid off in the latest layoffs.

Above the Law broke the news when it obtained a memo with the announcement. Stories followed by Reuters and Law360, which got confirmation of the layoffs.

The Shearman memo reported that the law firm was implementing “a global workforce reduction” in its business services team “to align our people and expenses more effectively with out strategic priorities.”

In February, Shearman laid off 12 associates and 26 business services staff members in the United States.
