GOP Penalties Put State Election Officials at Criminal Risk

Twelve states have enacted 35 new criminal penalties targeting election officials since 2020, 31 of which were enacted in Republican-controlled states, reports the Idaho Capital Sun. The criminal penalties range from low-level misdemeanors to felonies punishable by up to 20 years.
