I learned that female lawyers struggle daily with misogyny and micro—and sometimes macro— aggressions. This is something that needs to be discussed and addressed more often. If you see something, as a male lawyer, say something. Be an ally and improve the situation.

Francisco “Frank” Ramos Jr., a partner with Clarke Silverglate, in comments given to Law.com following his publishing of a post on LinkedIn where he asked, “If you’re a female lawyer, what was the most insulting comment a male lawyer or a male judge made directed to you?” Ramos received over 100 responses from women in the legal profession who described the most disparaging comments they’d ever received from male lawyers and judges.
