Do not go to law school. I hope my lawyers aren’t watching this. I think the legal field is in big trouble. That’s going to be one of the first disrupted by AI.

— Geoff Lewis, founder and managing partner of Bedrock Capital, commenting on the would-be AI reckoning that may be coming for the legal profession, in a recent interview with CNBC. “I talk to folks who spend tens of thousands of dollars a week on legal bills,” Lewis continued, adding, “[T]hey’re already using ChatGPT to generate complex contracts. I think the legal field is in a lot of trouble.”
