When Is The Best Time To Apply To Law School?

AccessLex has the details on when the best time to apply to law school really is.

[T]he deadline is not really the deadline. The deadline is just when they stop looking at things in a rolling admissions context. If you submit the day before the deadline, you might be fighting many people for one remaining slot.

— Kelsey Risman, a senior evaluation methodologist at the AccessLex Institute, in comments given to the ABA Journal on the results of a recently released AccessLex report concerning the acceptances of law school applications submitted by students from underrepresented communities. As noted by Risman, early applications are submitted before the end of November, while on-time applications are submitted before the beginning of February.
