This Biglaw Partner Is 'Disappointed' Her Brett Kavanaugh Tips Were Never Investigated By The FBI
She could've helped prove that he likely perjured himself during his confirmation hearings.

I came forward because I thought it was more than possible he had perjured himself. As a lawyer, I felt it was my duty and obligation to provide the information and related questions I had, which I firmly believe should have been reviewed, considered and explored by the FBI. To say that I was and remain disappointed by the so-called FBI supplemental investigation would be a gross understatement.
— Kerry Berchem, a partner at Akin Gump who attended Yale University around the same time as Justice Brett Kavanaugh, in comments given to Law360 on texts she received from a friend who said Kavanaugh asked her friend to defend him against the accusations of former classmate Deborah Ramirez. Before his confirmation hearings, Ramirez claimed the would-be Supreme Court justice had drunkenly thrust his genitals in her face during a college party. The New Yorker was investigating the allegations before they were made public, and Berchem thought the texts she received could be evidence that Kavanaugh lied when he said he didn’t discuss Ramirez’s claims with anyone prior to the New Yorker’s publication.
