US sanctions Iranian executives for supplying drones to Russia

The US Friday sanctioned executives and board members of Qods Aviation industries (QAI) for supplying Russia with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). The sanctions are pursuant to Executive Order (EO) 13382. This Bush Administration EO gives the Department of the Treasury the authority to block property belonging to proliferators of weapons of mass destruction.

New Iran executions draw condemnation by rights groups

Judicial news agency Mizan Online reported Saturday that Iran executed two men, Mohammad Mahdi Karami and Seyyed Mohammad Hossein, for allegedly killing a paramilitary force member during protests. Seattle Public Schools Friday filed a lawsuit in US District Court of Washington alleging that the tech giants behind TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Snapchat should be held accountable for a “mental health crisis” among the youth attending their schools. The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has handed down a major opinion in Cargill v. Garland , No. 20-51016, ruling 13-3 that the ATF ban on bump stocks is unlawful. The en banc decision found that a bump stock may be many things but it is not a machine gun. On December 18, 2018, the ATF issued a rule that bump stock would now be considered unlawful as machine guns and gave bump stock owners 90 days to surrender the devices.
