Kyla Pratt, the new star of “Call Me Kat” on FOX, has been sued by her ex-manager at Industry Entertainment Partners (IEP) over nonpayment for a 2018 contract. IEP worked with Kyla for over two years, and in an oral and written agreement, she allegedly agreed to pay commissions from the show. The company claims to have made a formal request to the actress before filing the lawsuit. In the lawsuit, IEP is asking Pratt “pay back the money for the unstated damages, as well as restitution for failing to stay within the contractual agreement she had in place with the company.”
The lawsuit states, “Pratt has performed in Call Me Kat and related projects. However, despite the parties’ agreement, Pratt has refused to pay all the amounts she owed to [Industry Entertainment Partners].”
“However, Pratt had no reasonable ground to believe that she will pay [Industry Entertainment Partners’] commissions in full and made misrepresentations with the intent of continuing to obtain [Industry Entertainment Partners’] artist and management services.”
