A Michigan federal judge Tuesday sentenced Adam Fox to 16 years in prison for leading a plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. In August, a federal jury convicted Fox on charges of conspiracy to kidnap the governor and conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction against persons or property. US District Judge Robert Jonker sentenced Fox to 16 years in prison with five years of supervised release despite government prosecutors’ request that Fox receive a life sentence.
