The US Supreme Court Thursday agreed to consider whether President Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan is unlawful in February 2023. In the Supreme Court’s brief order, Justice Brett Kavanaugh also declined to vacate an injunction blocking the plan from taking effect while litigation pends. Whelan was sentenced to 16 years in a Russian penal colony in 2018 after being convicted of espionage conviction for possessing a flash drive with classified information. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) Thursday delivered its judgment in a waterway dispute between Chile and Bolivia. The case is formally referred to as the Dispute over the Status and Use of the Waters of the Silala , a river which is shared by both Chile and Bolivia. The court found that the Silala River is governed by international law, meaning Bolivia cannot assert complete control over the waterway.
