He pushed the boundaries, and won. I expect Elon is going to write anything he wants.
— Professor Karen Woody of Washington and Lee University School of Law, in comments given to Reuters following Elon Musk’s recent acquittal in a securities fraud via tweet case. Woody said she was shocked by the verdict. Professor Minor Myers of the University of Connecticut School of Law told Reuters, “This is only going to embolden [Musk] to act as he sees fit.” Musk later thanked the jury on Twitter, writing, “Thank goodness, the wisdom of the people has prevailed.”
