The New Zealand Human Rights Commission announced Sunday that it will hold a national inquiry into the country’s housing crisis. The Commission also released a framework that gives 21 guidelines on the right to a decent home in New Zealand. The Commission will use the framework in a national inquiry into the right to a decent home under § 5(2) of the Human Rights Act.

An unnamed 100-year-old former guard at Sachsenhausen Nazi concentration camp during World War II has been indicted on 3,518 counts of accessory to murder. The Neuruppin state court said Monday said that the defendant will stand trial in October. The defendant is alleged to have served at the camp on the outskirts of Berlin between 1942 and 1945 as an enlisted member of the Nazi SS paramilitary organisation.
