Hy Pomerance, chief talent officer at Vinson & Elkins, in comments given to the Texas Lawyer on the number of newborn babies among the firm’s latest partnership class. Six out of seven new partners at V&E have newborns, and Pomerance says it happened for a reason. “We obviously have all sorts of scaffolding around our attorneys — as a lot of firms do — but we think about it from a holistic standpoint,” he said.
