Biglaw Associates Threatening To Leave Their Firms If They Have To Return To The Office

They have no desire to do work at their firms after working remotely for so long.

— An anonymous associate at White & Case, in response to an American Lawyer survey that asked Biglaw attorneys to describe their firm’s return-to-office policy and offer comments on how they felt about it. Per Am Law, a White & Case spokesperson said associates are expected to spend about 60% of their time in the office. Sixty percent respondents said their firms were asking them to work in-office three days per week. The majority of lawyers who were talking to recruiters about a search for a more flexible firm came from this group of respondents.
