India’s Joint Parliamentary Committee Thursday published its report on the 2019 Personal Data Protection (PDP) Bill in both houses of Parliament. The report is a clause-by-clause examination of the proposed law with more than 80 recommendations and 150 drafting changes to allow Members of Parliament to debate and vote on the country’s first data protection law.

In a special session held at the request of the European Union on Friday, the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) voted on Friday to establish an international commission of human rights exerts on Ethiopia. The main aim of the commission would be to conduct thorough investigation into allegations of violations and abuses of international human rights law, humanitarian law and refugee law in Ethiopia committed since November 3, 2020 by all parties to the conflict.

The European Commission proposed Friday to amend its EU Single Market legislation to ensure the continued flow of medicines between Britain and Northern Ireland.
