President of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi Friday approved the Criminal Laws (Amendment) Bill 2022 (‘The Bill’) which abolishes colonial law regarding the criminalisation of attempting suicide. The Bill repeals Section 325 of the Pakistan Penal Code 1860 which stipulates that “ Whoever attempts to commit suicide and does any act towards the commission of such offence, shall be punished with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both.”

In January 2013, the developer filed an offering plan with the AG’s Office announcing the intention to create a 25-unit condominium in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

The United Nations Saturday said that Burkina Faso had no grounds to order senior UN official Barbara Manzi to leave the country because the doctrine of persona non grata does not applied to her, given her position as a UN Designated Security Official. Burkina Faso’s military government instructed Manzi, an Italian diplomat, to leave the West African country with immediate effect.

An Alaskan Superior Court in Anchorage on Friday denied a challenge to Alaskan lawmaker David Eastman’s eligibility for office based on his membership in the Oath Keepers. State Representative Eastman’s eligibility was questioned by constituents due to Eastman’s membership in the anti-government, extremist organization with militia ties. The founder and leader of the Oath Keepers was found guilty of seditious conspiracy and a variety of other charges stemming from the January 6 insurrection. .
