North Carolina-based TCDI, a company that provides e-discovery and cybersecurity software and services, has completed its acquisition of the e-discovery practice of London-based global professional services firm Aon.

The acquisition expands the range of advisory services TCDI offers while also expanding its e-discovery capabilities and geographic reach into the U.K., TCDI says.

Members of Aon’s e-discovery practice will join TCDI and the two companies  say they will continue to maintain a strong commercial relationship to support current and future client engagements.

“We chose Aon’s e-discovery practice not only because of the strategic benefits to our customers, but because we share very similar business philosophies and values,” said TCDI founder and CEO William Johnson. “Our companies were both built and grown with client service and continuous process improvement at the core, and our customers can expect the same high quality of service and expert support as we move forward.”

TCDI first announced that it had signed the deal to acquire Aon’s e-discovery practice last month. The acquisition was supported by Trivest Partners, a private investment firm specializing in growth-oriented founder-based businesses, which is a minority investor in TCDI.

In 2020, the 34-year-old company acquired the e-discovery software company Cicayda, integrating its iDiscovery software with its own proprietary technology and services.
