Sidney Powell Is A Joke

It's not just that she's the butt of a joke (she is that too), but her legal acumen is a joke.

The January 6th Committee hearings are really the gift that keeps on giving. Sure, it’s horrifying that there was a violent attempted coup in the United States, but the way the Committee has presented the evidence to the American people has been nothing short of riveting. Surprise witnesses! Reports of the president choking a Secret Service agent! Allegations of witness tampering! All slickly put together in memorable video packages.

…Several of which are just ripe for ridicule.

Late Night host Seth Myers took some well deserved shots at attorney Sidney “Kraken” Powell on his show last night. Specifically at her oddly timed refreshment break mid-deposition.

You know the moment —

Anyway, Myers goes after Powell — deservedly — quipping, “She slugged that soda like she’s playing quarters at a Christian sleepaway camp.”

He continues:

“I will say it’s a fitting drink for her because Diet Dr. Pepper is the soda you have when there’s nothing else left in the vending machine. Just like Sidney Powell is your attorney when there’s nothing else left at the lawyer store.”

But don’t worry, there are more sick burns ahead:

“Watching her chug a can of Dr. Pepper was another reminder that she shouldn’t be trusted. It’s like if your doctor recommended surgery, then put an entire bag of Big League Chew in his mouth. You get a second opinion.”

Which, I’m insulted… for Diet Dr. Pepper. Sure, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but it *really* does taste more like regular Dr. Pepper. Sigh, I apologize for the shilling, but it is true! And, apparently an opinion shared by a swath of pro-coup Republicans. Delightful.
