As most of you already know much of the "big technology news" for the first part of 2022 has been the announcements around "the metaverse".
While it is fun in many gaming situations, I think there is also a possibility of using it effectively in courtroom evidence presentations in the future. We discuss below how some versions might be useful in the courtroom.

Many, many years ago I had the honor of visiting the courtroom in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada that was built for a trial for the bombing of an Air-India flight.
The courtroom technology was very advanced for the time. But I also remember that as part of the evidence the police (RCMP) had recovered and reconstructed parts of the airplane in an offsite location.
This is where I think that the Augmented Reality Hololens technology shown in the video provided by Microsoft could potentially be useful for similar evidentiary presentations. In the video, one can be placed next to the object with the presenter/teacher for an explanation. This could be very valuable for attorneys or experts that need to show and explain difficult to visualize evidence and concepts.
