It was just the other day that Above the Law lamented the relative slowness of Biglaw bonus announcements. But bitch, and you shall receive.
Top 20 Biglaw firm — by revenue — Mayer Brown has announced their year-end largesse. Unsurprisingly, the firm will match the new bonus scale announced last week by Cravath. That’s a nice (~15 percent) increase for most associates.
Here’s the new scale you’ve probably already memorized:

UPDATE: The above chart is only applicable to the New York office. For the Charlotte, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. offices, the below chart is in effect (full memo available here). The tiered schedule leaves the class of 2021 off the chart, and provides high-biller bumps for non-NY associates. And New York-based tipsters — at least those on track to bill a lot — seem pretty miffed about the slight. Said one, “As someone who is currently at 2200+ hours, I’m pretty annoyed by this.”
