World's Largest Law Firm To Mandate Vaccines In The United States

Mega firm is updating their office reopening plan.

With over 10,000 attorneys and 190 offices across 77 countries, it is fair to say that Dentons is a pretty big law firm. But, just like everyone else, the leadership of the firm is trying to figure out how to respond to the lingering COVID-19 pandemic. Towards that end, the firm has rolled out an amended reopening plan.

The firm is doing a few things in response to the Delta variant: the firm’s U.S. reopening launch (when people were expected to be in the office on a “more regular” basis) has been pushed back from September 13th, though a new date has not been selected. Furthermore, starting September 7th, all people entering a Dentons U.S. office — employees, clients, vendors — must be vaccinated. The firm had a confidential portal set up for folks to upload their vax cards.

The full memo from Dentons is available on the next page.

Will your firm be changing its plans when it comes to vaccination for attorneys and staff thanks to the Delta variant? Please let us know. What about your firm’s reopening plan? The more information is out there, the more likely it is that firms will be able to establish a market standard for a return to the office.

As soon as you find out about the reopening plan at your firm, please email us (subject line: “[Firm Name] Office Reopening”) or text us at (646) 820-8477. We always keep our sources on stories anonymous. There’s no need to send a memo (if one exists) using your firm email account; your personal email account is fine. If a memo has been circulated, please be sure to include it as proof; we like to post complete memos as a service to our readers. You can take a photo of the memo and attach as a picture if you are worried about metadata in a PDF or Word file. Thanks.
