California Dreaming: Newsom’s Kidnapping Claim Against DeSantis is Long on Politics and Short on the Law

Attorney for the District of Massachusetts, announced that she was taking a look, “long and hard,” at potential charges. Newsom cited the kidnapping statute but apparently failed to read it or the underlying cases. There is nothing unlawful about conveying individuals who are lawfully in the country pending their immigration hearings.
