A majority of Asian Americans say violence against them is increasing and worry about being threatened or attacked, with a third saying they have changed their daily routine because of these concerns, reports Pew Research Center. About six-in-ten Asian adults (63 percent) say violence against Asian Americans in the U.S. is increasing, while 19 percent say there has not been much change and 8 percent say it is decreasing.
About one-in-five Asian Americans say they worry daily (7 percent) or almost daily (14 percent) that they might be threatened or attacked because of their race or ethnicity, while 51 percent say they worry sometimes, 18 percent rarely worry and 10 percent say they never worry. Among those who worry rarely or more often, about a third of Asian adults (36 percent) say they have altered their daily schedule or routine in the past 12 months due to worries that they might be threatened or attacked.

Granted that some of the hate crime incidents involve physical assaults, even leading to death, and NYC has a fair share of recorded incidents, but how about “other” types of hate crimes that are hidden in nature, a lot of them are indirect and/or undertaken with the “help” of the Law Enforcement themselves? (Jan 6 riots being the most visible example. Refer to another article on this site dated 2021/04/15 with the subject “White supremacy has longstanding affiliation with police military.” Those who suffer violence related to hate crimes directed towards Asian/immigrants do so silently because if they go reporting what they are experiencing, who knows, the victim might get framed and end up in the jail! And if for any reason, they were allowed to file a report that actually shows up on the Law Enforcement sites/systems as “active,” how many more hurdles through the “white supremacist infiltrated” systems of justice [must they cross] before any real justice can even take place! There are many States that have zero hate crimes reported by a victim, but have cases where Asian Americans were murdered in broad day light as a result of hate attacks.
