In an earlier blogpost we reported that the Amsterdam District Court ruled that it had international jurisdiction under the Brussels I-bis Regulation and the GDPR.

LT is a company incorporated in the Virgin Islands and registered in Australia as a foreign company. When a dispute arose, the plaintiffs commenced the proceedings at the Supreme Court of Queensland in Australia ([2020] QSC 318). However, an exclusive foreign jurisdiction clause does not exclude Australian courts’ jurisdiction.

Application of Singapore’s new rules on service out of jurisdiction: Three Arrows Capital and NW Corp The Rules of Court 2021 (‘ROC 2021’) entered into force on 1 April 2022. Among other things, ROC 2021 reformed the rules on service out of jurisdiction (previously discussed here ).
